Urban Exploring

Over the past few years my friend Thomas and I have been exploring abandoned places, so far we have 15 under our belts. We both appreciate how each spot tells a different story. Being surrounded by eerie beauty doesn’t hurt either! Here are just a few.

Asylum

Thomas and I were both terrified here. We both had a strange feeling walking into this place. So obviously I hid in a room and scared the living crap out of him.

One of my favorite spots! 10/10

Church

We had to find a massive piece of wood to lay over a section of caved in stairs leading to the first floor. I felt like a pirate walking the plank.

Elementary School

This school was in the middle of a tiny town, and when I tell you that this town was silent, it was pin drop SILENT. We didn’t hear a single animal, person, or car. Definitely a Hills Have Eyes moment.

Various other places

Here are an assortment of some of my favorite pictures from a few different places. (Thread factory, mansion, rail road house, and a high school)

Tips for the newbie urban explorer:

  1. Buy a P100 asbestos mask, because it makes you sound like Darth Vader. ( and protects you against asbestos or whatever)

  2. Bring a flashlight, surprisingly, ghosts don’t pay their electric bills.

  3. A ‘Bando Buddy! So you have someone to blame for whatever creepy thud you just heard.

  4. Leave the abandoned spot just as you left it. Each place is a time capsule untouched by the outside world, treat it with respect. You also don’t want to piss off any spirits. That would kinda suck.

Happy ‘Bando hunting!
